On 8th March Lionel Handy played Gibbs’ Cello Sonata in E at Elstree School.
He was accompanied by Jennifer Walsh. Lionel put together a pleasant programme which included Vaughan Williams’ Six Studies in English Folk Song, Faure, and Beethoven Variations for cello and piano as well as the Gibbs.
The concert was sold out to an appreciative audience and proceeds went to the Berkshire Community Foundation.
